Our Mission...

Since the beginning, our mission has been not only to provide exceptional play-based care and education to the children in our community, but to create a loving, supportive environment for our little ones’ first experiences at school. We offer children a hands-on, interactive learning model in which they are able to create, explore, and learn in centers through developmentally appropriate activities. We believe in educating the whole child, which is why our students are exposed to the arts, yoga and foreign languages right from the start. Our teachers follow the Units of Study curriculum provided by the DOE and receive on-going targeted professional development to hone their craft. We value our families and the community we serve and strive to grow with them.

While each class is different and schedules may change to fit the children's needs, each of our classes have the same basic components:

Circle Time: Children develop focus and self-regulatory skills while interacting as a whole group. Children discuss the topic under investigation, learn songs, poems, and fingerplays. Children may also participate in read-alouds and group games.  

Center Time & Small Groups: Children play and work together in small and large groups, do art projects, participate in science explorations, literature and maths activities, and a variety of other learning experiences.  

Gross Motor&Park Play: Children develop their large motor groups through outdoor park play, community walks, and music and movement activities. Children learn important listening and communication skills as well as how to work and play together and take turns.
